“We had a great experience with Artezanos and now have an incredibly beautiful roof to prove it! I had been looking for two years for someone to do a beautiful job on our much needed new roof, and just happened to stumble across Artezanos. I was looking for that specific type of roof, and not many companies out there will do it, or even know how. And if they do, they will give you a ridiculous bid. Not only is our roof aesthetically beautiful to look at, but even more importantly is what’s under the roof. We literally have three layers of Sharkskin Ultra and Sharkskin Ultra SA (peel and stick…no nails whatsoever). The inspector told me each time he came here that in all the years of inspecting…he had never seen such a well protected roof. Then on top of that, there is a metal that they put over the top before they put the tiles on! To make matters even more difficult… I have eleven skylights that needed replacing. So on top of all of the other layers protecting them so they won’t leak, they added extra layers of several things that I don’t know the names of…and then coated those layers multiple times with something more. It is a very tight roof…I don’t expect any problems ever again. OH…and the finished edge is like old world Italian/Spanish roofs. Nobody else finishes the edges like that.
On another note… It was wonderful working with people who actually cared about their product, and before we even decided to go with them, they talked with us multiple times. Dan and Todd are two of the nicest people you could ever want to work with. Todd’s son Julian is the foreman, and equally as nice. You can always reach out to them via phone/text…and they will respond right away. I have to say…that was a huge plus.”

“After meeting with 6 roofing companies and getting multiple quotes Dan and his company Artezanos Roofing was by far the best option. We went with his energy efficient hybrid roofing system which qualifies for a 30% tax credit on the ENTIRE project on top of saving money on our water and electric bill. The permit took about as long as expected and the time frame given from the beginning to end was pretty much on point. It was honestly a pleasure dealing with Dan. His knowledge on roofing is second to none. He has multiple patents on his hybrid roofing system and manufactures nearly everything that was put on my roof except the Sharkskin underlayment. “Wow ! Super impressed with the Quality and knowledge that they provided us as now our home is the talk of the neighborhood when it comes to roofs……
We have seen their Roof Tile all around Miami on Hi-end homes and Historical Land marks as my wife made me get down out of our car on a Sunday afternoon at Coral Gables City Hall to see the name of the roof tile that they have it was hard to make out but we did it. We called Artezanos and had them come see our home. We told them that we wanted a hand made barrel tile roof just like Coral Gables City Hall. First they let us know that they are the manufacturers and not a roofing company but they can recommend several roofing companies that would be happy to give us pricing. Well after talking to them they informed us that we could go with the traditional way with a cap & pan or use their Hybrid that has the same look and is even has stronger uplift and many options that could get us a 30% FED. TAX Credit off the whole cost of our roof. I liked the sound of saving money so I asked more about the Hybrid. They explained since they replace the pan tiles out and put their universal aluminum pan ( I will never forget they said it all revolves their Patented Universal Pan as it truly does. ) First it eliminates 50% of the weight of our roof off & the delivery the since the pans are aluminum they become heat collector plates and that a roofer can install pex tubing down to the roof deck before the pans and tiles caps are installed and now we would be going green and producing Solar Hot Water! So this would help provide us with Domestic Hot water and we would save on our electric bills monthly and with going this way we would be able to get a 30% Fed. Tax Credit.
Well the first thing that came out of my wife’s mouth was I have been waiting a long time to do our roof and I don’t want change the look of a true 2 piece Barrel tile roof. They said we wouldn’t even be able to notice anything different. I liked the sound in saving money & the Tax credit. They provided a list of addresses of roofs for us to look at, we saw two, and my wife said “you can’t tell the difference”,. We got out of our car at third roof to take a closer look and the home owner came out . At first I thought “were in trouble!”, but when we told him we where trying to get a good look at his roof to see if was an all tile job he said and smiled it’s a Hybrid… ( lost for words ) Thermal Solar and even there were PV solar panels. My wife asked how long he it has been installed and if he was happy.. He smiled it’s been installed since Nov. of 2008 it’s saved me alot of money over the year.. We were sold! When it came to buy the roof system I asked them if I could put it on my credit card they told me i could place my order at ABC Supply or US Roofing Supply and that it would be the same price.
Well the main reason of strong recommendation is i just recently did my Taxes and I got my TAX CREDIT !!! I’m piss Happy!! Thanks.”

“Very reasonable price for the 300 sq ft of coral pavers and delivery. Dan was very friendly and accommodating to my questions at every point. When I went to his stockyard to look at the pavers, I noticed that he had a lot of clay roofing tiles and a roofing display set up. Because we are planning on replacing our roof in the next year, I inquired about his system. It looked a little different than a typical clay tile roof, but I couldn’t put my finger on why it looked different. Well, after a very thorough explanation about his “handmade clay tile, 100 year, environmentally “green”, hurricane resistant and beautiful roofing system”, I was sold (almost). All that was left, was for his to do an estimate. Dan came out the following week to measure the roof and create an estimate. Check out the artezanos website for a cool video that explains his green roofing system. Dan’s estimate came in about $15,000 less than other estimates for clay tile roofs that I got and his roofing system is better in every way to the other systems I have seen. Dan is PASSIONATE about his roofing system and I am looking forward to having it installed. Beautiful, state of the art, hurricane resistant and green all in one! I will update my review when we have our roof installed.

“Danny came over with the intent of quoting my family a new roof as we requested due to the fact that two other roofing companies had already been by and suggested we needed an entire new replacement roof. Danny meticulously inspected every inch of the roof and surprised us with the news that the roof was in good enough condition to last at least another 5 years and that all we needed was a minor repair. After researching ArteZanos Inc. on the BBB website and public records search, I see that he has no legitimate formal complaints against him. Talk about an “Honest Roofer”! “I live in an original 1926 Mediterranean Revival in Miami Beach where most of these gems are getting bulldozed and replaced by square box looking homes that otherwise look like architectural human fish tanks… That aside, I have replaced my very traditional old roof with a new Artezanos Hybrid Barrel Tile System. After a great deal of Internet research, this was the only system that had a universal application whereby we could re-use the existing antique Cuban and 18th Century Handmade Barrel Tile that my home was originally roofed with in 1926. The roofers saved as much of the antique tile as they could (about 75% of the top tiles because the pans are not visible and were of another clay extruded material). We then mixed about 25% of the new Artezanos World Class Handmade Clay Barrel Tile over a brown colored stepped aluminum panel. These panels weigh about 1 pound and they save 50% of the weight on my roof! Its something nobody thinks of but I have a great deal of appreciation after having seen for myself after the 36000 lbs a truckload of tile was averted. You cant tell where the metal pans really are as they are located beneath the Antique / Artezanos Tile Mix. We had no problem getting approval from the Historical Preservation Department of Miami Beach as the roofers had done this before with a full Artezanos Handmade contemporary tile. I was a little concerned that the Artezanos Hybrid would make my house look too modern but in actuality the use of the salvaged tile from my own home mixed with Artezanos made my home look just as traditional with higher performance as the Artezanos Hybrid has one of the highest wind ratings in the industry. We had considered the Artisan Blend by Santa Fe Tile and found this company’s product to be an inferior imitation as their core business has been mostly dedicated to extruded machined cookie cutter products for the last 20 years and not the natural handmade barrel tile product I sought. We also considered the Nicaraguan handmade barrel tile used on Venetian Pool in Coral Gables but the roofer showed me how the tile fizzles like baking soda when you put it in a bucket of water! At least with a metal pan design, the water sheds off the roof and not through the tile!
The best thing about this system is that I was able to get 30% federal tax credit on the entire cost of my roofs restoration and replacement because the Artezanos Hybrid Sytem qualifies as “Qualified Solar Water Heating Property” as per IRS Form 5695. And although the roofers weren’t so happy about it, I also paid the ABC Supply invoice directly so I could get my Florida Solar Sales Tax Exemption. Artezanos has an “INVISIBLE” tubing option that runs underneath the metal pans so that I may harvest the heat already on my roof for domestic hot water production. The deal for me was great because I was able to reduce the amount of roof tile my contractor had to buy, he was able to reduce the amount he was to install because one metal panel replaces like 5 handmade roof tiles. and the total cost of my investment was reduced by the 30% Fed Tax Credit because the Artezanos Hybrid System is also FSEC Certified by the Florida Solar Energy Center as a solar energy device. I would definitely recommend this type roof for those of modest income and those that require serious aesthetic demands like my home. I’m going to restore my clay floor tiles with the money I saved!!”
